Viewing Hyperlinks
Hyperlinks

I had an email from an EverWeb user who is creating a responsive website using the Flex widgets. He has large chunks of text with numerous text hyperlinks and wanted to know if there was a way to make them compatible with touch devices like the iPad and iPhone. I have added a page to the Flex Demo site with instructions for doing this. Most Everweb users don't create a site specifically for tablet users. Visitors using these devices are forced to view the full site and their experience is going to suffer from lack of user friendly touch inputs - hyperlinks being the main culprit. Try visiting a touch friendly site on an iPad and then visit your own! ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Roddy, what is the difference here besides just going to Inspector->Text Settings and increasing the line height or font size of the link? The display: inline-block is a good addition as it will give more surface area to click, however the main point should be to keep links farther apart on tablets and phones because our fingers are much larger than the mouse. I am investigating adding the inline-block element to anchor tags but touch devices are really good at detecting even small links. Nonetheless if you are designing a website for phones or tablets, do be aware of the spacing between clickable objects such as links to reduce the likelihood of someone clicking the wrong link.
