Using html snippet for Accuweather widget

User: Maria F. 10 years ago
I copied the code for an Accuweather widget. From the EverWeb Widgets collection I dragged "HTML Snippet" onto my page. I pasted the code into the box that appeared on the page. When I try a "Preview" in my browser, the snippet code still appears instead of the widget itself. What am I doing wrong?

I'd like to get other widgets that are not included in EW widget collection, too, but I need to do ONE successfully first. Thanks for any advice.

It would be helpful if you could post the code you used or send an URL to the page where it is here. Otherwise, we can't help you that much.

I just went to accuweather and grabbed code for a widget. It showed fine when I pasted and previewed, and showed on the page while I was working on it.
This is the code I used, like Ozzy asked, please post the code you are using.

Ozzy, while I was getting frustrated, I searched around for other weather widgets. I got one from WeatherUnderground that works! Now I think that the Accuweather code I "downloaded" was defective or corrupted. Would you agree? I also see in your reply that you have links to your own business, which I will keep handy. Thank you for your prompt response.

Jim G., that was the exact same code I had used. See my reply to Ozzy S. When I entered the newer code in the same manner, it worked. Could be I was repeatedly doing something wrong? Could be the code has a quirk with my computer? Don't know, but I've got a weather widget now. Thank you for replying, Jim.

Great! I couldn't tell you if it was defective unless I could see it. The code Jim posted looks correct, and it worked for him. There must have been some type of typo in the code you "downloaded".

Thanks for keeping my services in mind :)!

You are welcome Maria. I can say I never download or copy code from a button, I always highlight it and copy

Ah . . . . that's a good thing to remember. Thanks.
