Image slider is acting differently than in older version of EW

I just switched to the latest version of Everweb. I'm making a new website and on the home page I want an image slider. Let me preface this by saying I have 4 other websites that all have image sliders but they were done in the older version of EW. So I add the slider and a few pictures in the slider asset list. I can see the thumbnails (which I don't want) but no pix. Now I understand the image won't "slide" until I upload it however, in the older version of EW I was able to see the first picture in the asset list. I can't with my new version. So it's hard to imagine what the page is going to look like with a big white space there. If I click the thumbnail box I can see the thumbs but not a larger pix. No matter what I check, I can't see the full sized image (again I realize it won't slide). Is this how it works for everyone??? How do I get that image to show up so I can get a feel for the weight of the page and so forth? Susan |

| I haven't been able to reproduce this issue. Let's say you delete the image slider and then add it again, does the same thing happen? | |

I deleted the image slider, closed out Everweb and reopened it, added another slider, same thing. Deleted that slider and tried again. Same thing. as you can see from the most recent screenshot the thumbs show but again not the main pix. So now what do I do? |

| Can you confirm one thing for me? Are you adding the images to the slider via the Choose button, or are you dragging them from your computer onto the slider's assets list? | |

I've tried it both ways and neither works, same thing happens regardless. Susan |

Ok I got it to work in a very round about way. I've tried everything including shutting my computer down, shutting down EW, adding images from assets, adding them by dragging - none of those ways worked. I also started an entirely new website and that image slider didn't work either, same thing happened. What I did was copy a slider from an older website I made in an older version of EW and so far it's working correctly. This is not exactly the "fix" I want but it's the one I have to take for now. So it boils down to an image slider added from this new copy of EW does NOT work, but if I copy and paste an older into the new site, it seems to work. Very odd if you ask me. Susan |

You shouldn't have to do this. When this issue arises, does it work when you publish?
