Viewing Dynamic height?

Dynamic height?

User: Gary E. 10 years ago
I'm fairly new to EW and have been muddling through quite successfully I think. Since the latest update my website appears to have lost its dynamic height function and now the background is stopping halfway down the page and not even reaching the footer let alone going to the bottom of the page like it always used to. How can I fix it? Thanks.

There are new options with background images. If you have not, in the Page Inspector on right, where you chose to have background image and chose your image, try one of the options in the dropdown and hopefully one will work. I believe the new options are stretch and stretch to fill?
Is it happening on every page, or pages that have gotten longer?
What are the dimensions of the image being used?

I'm not using a background image it's set to Gradient Fill. It's happening on every page that is over the pre-set content height (840), hence me wondering about the dynamic height. I haven't changed anything on the master template so I don't know why this has suddenly happened.

See the bottom of THIS page for info about adjusting the individual page heights when using a master page.

Thanks but all that did was increase the content area and therefore increase the area that didn't have the background. Getting a bit irritated now, everything looked fine before the latest update.

What is your website URL so I can see what you mean?

If you haven't published yet, please show some screenshots. Press the 'Advanced' button on this forum next to 'Post Reply' for the option to upload screenshots.

You can take a screenshot by holding down the COMMAND and SHIFT keys on your keyboard and then pressing the number 3. An image file will appear on your desktop.

Hi Paul,

Hi Kristy,

Have you tried a republish of the entire site by going to File > Publish Entire Site

If that still does not fix the problem, can I get you to email our customer support department regarding this issue. We will have you send us your website project file for us to take a closer look at. Here are the instructions on sending us the project file:

In the Projects window in EverWeb, click on the arrows next to the website project and select 'Show On Disk'.

Please compress the project file before sending it to us by secondary clicking (right click) on it and selecting Compress. You can upload it at http://ge.tt or http://www.dropbox.com and send the link to us.

NOTE: Do NOT remove the project file from the folder.

I am having the exact same problem! So frustrating. I tried making new master page, which worked at first but then suddenly stopped working. It's only happening with one master page, not the other (longer) one. Example: http://www.pamvictor.com/teacher/improv-workshops.html
