audio players creating error in mobile site

| A friend is helping create a mobile version of my site. She's new to working with evereb; she just published the first pass at the mobile site and the audio players on pdcast page aren't working. She may have already figured it out but figured I'd put this up here. Anyone know what kind of issue there may be there? | |

What is the website url so I can take a look? Also did you try version 1.8.1 which is in the announcements section of this forum? ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Why oh why is it so difficult for Everweb users to provide real, verifiable, factual information? If you have a problem, provide a CLICKABLE link to the ACTUAL page. This page : http://www.jimsavage.net has NO redirect to a mobile page. Instead it has two JavaScripts : <script src="http://static.dudamobile.com/DM_redirect.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script type="text/javascript">DM_redirect("http://m.jimsavage.net");</script> which are supposed to redirect to a preview page : http://m.jimsavage.net which has an iframe of this page : http://m.jimsavage.net/site/mobile?nosim=true&dm_try_mode=true&dm_device=mobile#2626 Which isn't an EW page. So where is the page with the problems? Last edit 10 years ago |

The reason your podcasts do not work on your mobile site is because they link to a folder that does not exist on your mobile site. http://m.jimsavage.net/site/mobile?nosim=true&dm_try_mode=true&dm_device=mobile#2861 <audio id="audio10" src="ewExternalFiles/INTRO TO MI MSTR 2.mp3" type="audio/mp3" controls="controls" class="audio10"></audio> You can make them work if you use a link to your desktop site. <audio id="audio10" src="http://www.jimsavage.net/podcast/ewExternalFiles/INTRO TO MI MSTR 2.mp3" type="audio/mp3" controls="controls" class="audio10"></audio> Your knowledgable friend should be able to fix it. | Sorry not everyone is as knowledgeable as you. I assumed this support forum is for idiots like me. I appreciate the help. But you don't need to be rude. | |

The usual answer by people who are easily offended. Seems there is a term for it nowadays. Micro-aggresssion. You don't have to be an idiot. Simply providing a link to the page is within everybody's mental capacity. Last edit 10 years ago |

| Man, I was really appreciating this place. Guess I'll be going elsewhere. Sorry for my ignorance. | |

I have read this a few times and am confused a bit. Jim, we want to help, especially since you have an awesome name. Are you using EW hosting? Are you having problems getting mobile page/site working correctly? Do you know the difference between Relative and Absolute File Paths? There seems to be an issue with the recent upgrade and audio players, keep an eye on Bug Report forum for that. To post something as a link here can be tricky until you do it a few times. When you want to post a link, type what you want to say and when you get to the place you want a link to be- Click the URL button right above this, Enter the URL (http://www.blahblahblah.whatever, a second box opens, in that box you type what you want the link to say. It could be Here, Click This, www.blahblahblah.whatever, anything you want it to say. |

@ Jim S. Just to ignore the ravings of our resident troll. Someone has probably crushed his fragile ego today and he is looking for an outlet for his frustrations. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
