Viewing Link to a Directory

I messed with Directories in the past and it was fairly easy. I decided to make a Directory for my site now. I cannot figure out how to link to have the first child page show up when clicking the link. I do not use Navigation widget. I am linking from a Button. I have read several things and tried them, but to no avail. Is there a simple way to get this to work? |

Select the button and use the Link inspector to create it as a hyperlink.
