Mulit-language navigation drop-down menu?

User: Cornela W. 11 years ago
Hi, I’m just working on an English/German website and need to know, how to add a drop-down menu to the second language...
I started the website in English with the navigation menu widget and am now working on the German pages, doing the navigation menu manual on the German master page. But how can I add a drop-down menu....?
Thanks for helpful answers

The easiest way to create multi language websites is to create each language in different project file. That way you can use the EverWeb navigation widget to create the menu for each version.

Then you can use a sub menu so that visitors can navigate to the language of choice. See this page for examples of using a simple horizontal navigation to connect sub sites.

The EverWeb Codebox website is created using three project files since it extends to hundreds of pages. Note the Site Navigation in the header which allows the visitor to jump between sections.

The files for the Codebox site are published to the root folder on the server and the Widgetbox and HTML5 sections are published in sub folders.
