EW18b10 Changing File Name not being saved back

User: wellnl 11 years ago
Hi

I have a page that is the last one in a directory. It's a copy of another page, so I changed the file name in the inspector, however the change does not stick. I change the filename and tab out of the field. I then close the project and reopen. The file name is back to the original unchanged name. I further tested this by changing the file name then changing some text in the body of the page. Once I had done this I close the project and reopen. The text remains changed, but the file name reverts back to the original. I have even changed the file name, Saved the project, closed it and reopened it but to no effect...

Thanks

I can't reproduce this here. Can you send me the project file? Also a screen recording of the issue would also be very helpful in reproducing the issue.

You can record your screen using Quicktime which is in your Applications folder. Open Quicktime and select 'New Screen Recording' from the File menu.

Once you are done, your recording will be on your desktop. Please upload the .mov file to http://youtube.com, http://ge.tt or http://www.dropbox.com and send me the link

Sure will do... I have done some more testing and it only seems to be happening on pages that i have in directories. Pages that are not in a directory are fine. Also have tried to rename the page in the WPL rather than from the inspector but to no joy.

Will start recording and will send you the file.

Thanks for the video and the project. It's fixed for 1.8b11 which will be posted in a few minutes.
