Text box sizing

I have a text box that after I entered text I wanted to make shorter from bottom to top. I grabbed one a little box on the bottom, one of what I think is called a selection box. They're on top, bottom, and each corner. I tried to make the text box smaller, but it kept snapping back to its current size |

| With the box selected, click in the Metrics Inspector on right and either put in numbers or use the arrows to change size, hopefully it works for you | |

No matter what number I put into height it continues to revert back to 150. The width is how I want it. I tried checking 'constrain proportions' but that bunched the box up |

The text box can't be smaller then the amount of text in it. If you make the textbook wider, you should be able to make it shorter.

Select the text box and open the Text inspector. Reduce the values for "Before/After Paragraph" and "Inset Margin".
