Is it possible to install a larger Facebook widget like the ones generated here -- https://developers.facebook.com/docs/re ... /like-box/ ?

Thanks!

How about a Board widget for Pinterest? Is that possible?

Thanks!

Not yet, but we can add widgets for this. I have added this to our todo list. For now you can copy and paste the code into an HTML Widget.

Thanks, Paul. I'm a little bit confused about how to post the code. When I put it in the HTML widget, nothing happens. Do I have to publish it to see it? When the code is separated and the instructions say to put part of it in the <body> and part where I want to see it on the page, do I follow those instructions?

I'm also wondering about stats. I think I saw something about stats being included in the program? Or should I be putting statcounter on each page like I did with iWeb?

Thank you!

I don't know Pinterest from Nointerest but you will have two lines of code like this...

(a) <a data-pin-do="embedUser" href="http://pinterest.com/YOURUSERNAME/"></a>

(b) <script type="text/javascript" src="//assets.pinterest.com/js/pinit.js" ></script>

The first line (a) is HTML so paste it into an HTML Widget, click "Apply" and drag it to where ever you want it on the page.

The second line (b) is javascript. This gets pasted into one of the Code boxes at the bottom of the Page inspector window. For a Pinterest Widget apparently the JS must NOT go in the head code. So, paste it into the Footer Code box. This injects it into the page HTML just before the closing body tag.

A lot of these type of widgets are not viewable in the application so you will need to publish to the server to see the result in most cases.

Code like Stats, that need to be on every page of the website, should be pasted into one of the code boxes in the Site Publishing Settings Page. Click the site name at the top of the left column in EasyWeb to open this.

The code can go into either the Head Code or the Footer Code box. Which ever one you choose the code will work.

My preference is to place it in the Footer Code box but others will disagree. This point was debated in a previous topic where I stated my case for going against the mainstream view!

I really detest Facebook and I wish it would disappear down a black hole in the universe along with Microsoft, Adobe and a few others!

Here's some more info about where to put the code in EasyWeb...

Trying to use Facebook widget, but it will not allow me to enter any more than three characters. Is anyone else having this issue?

You need to paste the URL into the box - not type it.

You shouldn't have to paste it, you should be able to type it.

The Facebook URL field won't let you enter more than 3 characters? It works fine for me. Can you show the problem with a screen recording?

You can record your screen using Quicktime which is in your Applications folder. Open Quicktime and select 'New Screen Recording' from the File menu.

Once you are done, your recording will be on your desktop. Please send that .mov file to https://billing.ragesw.com/submitticket.php

No need to send any more videos, I see the problem and am working on a fix.

Typing will actually work you if you type really fast. You'll see the window is just becoming deactivated if you wait more than half a second in between typing.

Hi, Not got around to a QuickTime for Facebook yet, but copying ... pasting the URL worked fine, so thanks for the advice on that one.
