New to the software. I've pointed my new website from my old host onto EverWeb servers with DNS numbers. Trouble is I can't see it on any of my computers that looked at my old site. If I go to a new computer, my site turns up just fine, but my 3 main business computers keep going to the old site at my old host. I did manage to see it on my iPad once, but now it goes back to my old host and I see my old domain. I've cleared browers, cookies, etc. but nothing makes a difference. Rebooted, etc. Nothing. My new site is xxx.com, my old site is xxx.com/xxx.com/home.html. For some reason it's like this, I have no reason why. When I type in xxx.com, it reverts to xxx.com.xxx.com/home.html. I can't stop my computer from doing this. I would think deleting cookies and history would solve this but it does't. Any thoughts would be appreciated. thanks, donald |

You just need to wait for the names servers to fully switch over which can take up to 48 hours. Also; please don't use three x's for a sample domain. That will lead to an adult website if the links become active within the posts ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Nameservers work rather strangely. They are cached by ISPs so if you have visited your site before from one Internet connection it will take longer to update. If you visit from a connection that has never visited your site it could update in a matter of minutes. If it's not namesservers that is causing this, pay special attention to the url in the path bar of your browser. It could be auto filling an older page. In that case, delete your browser history. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |
