| move optimized site files to projects folder (in application support library). I ran web crusher and it saved me quite a bit of space?. Do those optimized files go to projects files upon reopening?. I have one step publishing with EverWeb and only published files to site folder not ftp after optimizing. spyboy4u.com | |

You would need to publish to a local folder and then optimize your site files and upload them with WebCrusher's built in FTP.

| so after that what happens when I publish direct from EW next time? are the optimized files now in projects folder (in application support library)? Would not care except web crusher did a lot more optimizing than EW did automatically ! I think ! | |

You can't publish direct from EverWeb to the server. You need to publish to a local folder and run the files through WebCrusher every time you publish changes. After the first pass, WebCrusher will optimize and upload only the changed files. I use an optimizer to process files before uploading and it's well worth the little extra time it takes. I would advise you to remove the folder from the EverWeb folder in Application Support and put it in your Home folder. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! WebCrusher is not supported with EverWeb. If you do want to use it you cannot use the Javascript and CSS optimizations. They must be disabled in the preferences. Also you cannot use it to publish to EverWeb + Hosting, only to a third party FTP host. We will be incorporating WebCrusher into a future version of EverWeb. In fact, version 1.8 supports the image compression automatically. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |
