Importing EasyWeb files to EverWeb

User: Jennifer W. 11 years ago
When EverWeb was in beta testing (as EasyWeb) I started to create a website and built about a dozen pages. I never finished and would like to do so now. I've been reading in these forums that iWeb files can't (and shouldn't) be imported to EverWeb, but what about EasyWeb files? I can't find any information about it. I'd hate to have to start from scratch and since I used a beta version of what is now EverWeb I would think (hope) there's enough similarities to enable me to import the existing pages. Any feedback appreciated. Thanks!

You should be able to just double click your project file and open it in EverWeb.

Thanks, Paul, but I don't seem to have a project file. I have a folder of website elements and two of preview files. I tried to open Easy Web and I get the error message that it's a beta version and has expired. What would the extension be on the project file? Maybe I can find it in old backups.

You should look in Home Folder -> Library -> Application Support folder for an EasyWeb folder. Expose the library folder by holding the Option key while in the Finder "Go" menu.

You would need to download and install the latest version of EverWeb. This will create an EverWeb folder in the same location. Drag your project file into the EverWeb folder and double click it.

Thanks. That was easy! Now I feel kind of silly for not being able to find it. :-)
