Link Colours

Hi, I have a website where I am using a master page containing a textbox which has a series of pages linking to separate pages for travel agents. I have defined the colours for these links individually as black not underlined and also the same for visited. They are not supposed to use the default values. When one clicks on the various links then in some cases all the links on the page will change to blue (which is the default color I set for links). But not always. One of the links, always the same one (Holiday & Co Reisen) actually goes white when it was visited. At first I thought this was because there was an Ampersand in the text, but even changing that back to "and" did not solve the problem. There is a test version of the site at: www.dbase-systems.com/rhtours You need to click in the navigation bar on "Reiseveranstalter" to get to the necessary pages. Down the left are the links. Main ones are purposely blue and underlined. The ones which are not working properly start out black. -Paul- |

The black links on THIS page use the class name "Style182" and the color is set to #000000 - which is, of course, black. The ones on the "link to" pages use "linkStyle_149" have the color set to #0432FF which is blue. The white link uses "linkStyle_185 with color #EAEAEA. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Hello, I am still confused, because all of the pages use the same master page which includes all the links. I suppose you can't see that from the finished pages. I would gladly upload the site definitions to solve this one. -Paul- |

You should open a trouble ticket so that you can send your project file to Tech Support and see if they can figure it out.

Hi Paul Select the text box that you have problems with then on the Text Inspector, tick the box 'Export Text as Image'. That should get round the problem... I get the same thing too btw! |

We need to see your project file and we need to know what specific pages and links you are having issues with. In the Projects window in EverWeb, click the arrow on the right next to your website and select the 'Show On Disk' option. **DO NOT move this file from this location on your computer** Please compress the project file before sending it to me by right clicking on it and selecting Compress. You can upload it at http://ge.tt or http://www.dropbox.com and send the link to me. Make sure to describe the problem or reference this forum post when you send your email. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Make sure when you want to hyperlink text you double click the object so the text is highlighted. Applying a link to an entire object with text in it will cause this behavior. I understand it's confusing but you need to be able to link entire shapes/images so that is why the hyperlink option is available. When you want to hyperlink just text though and adjust colors, make sure to double click the object and highlight the text and then select the hyperlink options. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |
