| How do I Delete a Directory. I created it, put in a couple of pages but it wouldn't show up in the Navigation menu. So, I created a new directory and moved the pages over to it. All is now well except the old directory, now renamed, won't delete. | |

Hi Oliver, You should be able to delete it like any other page, just select it and press the Delete key on your keyboard. Have you tried that? If so, what happens when you try and delete it? Quote: put in a couple of pages but it wouldn't show up in the Navigation menu Did you have the 'Show in navigation bar option' under Page Settings in the Inspector unchecked? ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

I quit the program and restarted it. I was then able to delete the empty directory. Thank you for your reply. I am disappointed that I cannot nest directories as I needed to do that. A directory inside another directory does not show up. |

The default navigation only handles two levels as you have discovered. If you want a third level, you would need to create your own navigation on a master page. An alternative to a three level menu is the mega menu. This allows two or more directories to be grouped under a first level link. This style of menu is used for the HTML5 Widgets section of the EverWeb Codebox website. Using this style of menu allows a large number of pages to be listed but keeps the first level of the menu - and the content area - narrow enough to be useable when viewed on a tablet device. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! I would like to provide a link in the drop down directory menu, either one of my pages already in another directory or, more often, to an external page. Right now I have false pages with re-direct code but that is not very elegant as it shows the blank page for a few seconds.
