MP3 not loading

This is weird. I have a page with some of my voiceover samples that I've posted. The MP3s all work at home, load fine into the publisher, but when I publish the page, one, just one, doesn't load at all. I worked all of them thru the same recording software and never changed the initial settings. The only thing I can see is it's the shortest of the samples, but only by 2 secs. Any ideas? http://creatingimagery.com/actor/voice.html |

Next time, please tell which one does not load. It saves time and does not put the burden on others to figure it out. And provide clickable links. Well, it's Ben and Jerry. It points to a local file : <audio id="audio21" src="file://localhost/Users/CartSalonen/Library/Application%20Support/EverWeb/29A64D42812242E9B8C7249195896516.everweb/Assets/External%20Files/ben%20and%20jerry//file's.mp3" width="300" height="30" type="audio/mp3"></audio> |

Remove the single quote from the file menu and republish your entire site. It will work once you do that.

Apostrophes in file names has got to be the all time favourite of breaking audio players! Every type of file that you add to a website forms part of a URL and there should be no spaces or special characters. If possible, file names should be descriptive for SEO and the words separated using hyphens. See this page for more info. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Adding external files with apostrophes is fixed for version 1.8.

Well, that was both simple and silly. But Paul, I have version 1.7.3 and when I click "Check for updates" it shows I have the most current version (probably because I'm one version of MacOS behind) Thank you both. I'll take the apostrophe out and that ought to do it. |
