On my site www.23degrees.co.uk I have a gradient fill rectangle behind the main title 23Degrees. I want it to be the full page width. Page content width is set at 1600. Rectangle is 1600 but there is a gap to the right side of the page. Also the red horizontal line is also not giving me a full page width. i keep changing the width but it does not change. What am i doin wrong? |

| I am guessing you are working on a macbook? What I see when I look at that part of your site is 2 things, as always with macbook/safari. It looks good until I plug in a mouse; at that point I automatically get the scroll bar on right and the gap shows up. | |

They cannot get any wider because they are inserted into the page container which is 1600px wide. To do what you are attempting, you need to move the item out of the container div and use 100% width. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! HI Roddy, I only have the title 23Degrees, some hyperlinks to pages (used as the site navigation) mobile audio play buttons in the gradient fill. I need a fill behind it so it's easy to see. I dont know how to move it out of the 'div'. Is it currently in a locked area of the page or something? Also I would like the current page that the a user is on, 'Contact' for example to be highlighted in the navigation bar (I not using the Nav. widget as I said) in a black or white colour for example from the red colour. Can this be done? You in the UK? |

Quote: Can this be done? Here's a demo showing a responsive background image (rather than a slider), full width responsive header and navigation that displays the current page name in a different color. Can it be done? I am in the UK at the moment - or rather Scotland which is not quite the same thing! ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! I'm not using a widget. I am using code entry with a couple of little tricks to fool EverWeb.

I have replied to your email. You may not want to proceed with this project if you want to remain sane! I'm kind of reluctant to encourage EverWeb users down this road as I will probably have to spend the rest of my days answering emails about it. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
