Getting a new iMac. Are there any issues I should know about?

I think within the next few weeks I'll be replacing my older iMac (iMac 7.1, 2, 8 GHz Intel Core 2, 4GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, running OS 10.6.8) with a new one. Is EverWeb running smoothly on Yosemite? Are there any issues with changing from one computer to another I should be aware of. I've never made this kind of switch before. Thanks.

We do all our development on Yosemite and EverWeb is working very well, much better than it should be working on 10.6.8 which is very old.

There shouldn't be any issues, you just need to bring your project files over.

Good luck with the new iMac, they look amazing!

Hi Paul,

That's what I thought. I just wanted to make sure since my two websites are both running well using EverWeb. Yes, 10.6.8 is very old but not nearly as old as my computer. It's doing some strange things that I think may be hints that it's going to quit on me.

I paid to have everything switched from my old iMac to the new one. Yes, I realize I could have done this myself. It's the best "extra cost item" available from Apple. When I started up my new iMac everything was there and worked perfectly. The only noticable difference betwen the old and new was the new speed and higher resolution.
