Hello here's Brigitte from Munich. Since yesterday i've trouble publishing my ever web site to third party host. (I'm a former iWeb user, so i already had an hosting service before i bought the ever web stand alone license) My host is starto.de and everything work very well (I use ever web sice 1 year) I do not change anything. (Server name, username, password and so on...) With file zilla i checked the connection (using the publishing details - password...) everything ok, it worked. Stato support told me i've enough space on their server. Starting the plublishing process in ever web - in the ftp server details field - i get the message "Logged in". But nothing happened. After a few minutes there is the message "An error occurred while publishing your website. Transfer incomplete. Closing data connection." I'm using ever web 1.7.3 Has somebody an idea where's the mistake? Does ever web has actually trouble publishing web sites to third party hosts? Thank you for your answers! |

Can you try toggling the passive connection option in the preferences under the publishing tab.

To try to isolate the problem, are you able to publish to a Folder and upload to Filezilla manually?

Now i deselected "secure publishing" and "use passive publishing connections" - and it worked! @Christopher: never done before, but i think so. I'm able to publish to a folder und also to upload a file in filezilla. So i think it would also run with my whole website. |
