Just as the title said - it finally work! It took a while but not much longer than Filezilla would. It did freeze up about a 3rd of the way through it and it happen right after my display went to sleep. My Mac was set NOT TO SLEEP, but I've experienced this before in this app when the display sleeps, maybe still a small bug in publishing - but with nothing sleeping, it completed its publishing! Finally! So I guess I'm sticking with EverWeb - I really like it and Paul and the EW crew have done a lot to help to fix bugs and make a good product to continue to get better. Keep up the good work EW crew! P.S. I did do the suggestion from Paul to un-check "passive publishing connections" in EW publishing preferences. Alan Last edit 11 years ago |

Hi Alan. Congratulations. I am trying to do the same but can't see the publishing progress as there was in iWeb. Were you able to see the progress of your publishing? If so, where? If not, how did you know where you were in your publishing? Thanks, Eric |

| Hi Erick, while you are publishing via built in FTP. Make sure you are clicked on the "name of site" area, instead of say the home page. That is where you will see the publishing progress and is the same place you will have all your FTP login information. Good luck. | |

Hi Alan. Thanks for the info. After what you said, I noticed that there is a progress bar on the page that shows up as the process of publishing starts. However, as soon as the initial phase ends, where it is preparing to publish the various pages, the process bar shows that it is 'connecting' and a few seconds later it disappears. So there is some fault that prevents the website from being uploaded. No idea what it is as there is no message that says that the publishing cannot continue. It just stops connecting. Did you experience anything similar? Thanks, Eric |

Hi Eric, Where are you publishing to? EverWeb + Hosting or a third party web host? Can you try the solution outlined here to toggle the Passive connection option? ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |
