Create a dropdown sub-menu after making the webpage

User: dan y 11 years ago
First, forgive me if this has been answered many times, I can't find the answer.

I have about 15 pages in my website with more to come. I was using links before but now realize that I need to make a drop-down menu. The tutorial says to do it at the time you make the page but what about after, when you decide to move it?

I guess I could make a new blank page, take the old page, select all and copy, then paste it in the new blank page but it seems there should be a way to drag-n-drop it's position.

Any help appreciated.

If you don't want to set up a master page - which has its advantages and disadvantages - you can do it this way...

Open each page of the site that is to appear in the navigation and check the box in Page inspector to include it.

Drag the navigation widget onto a page and command drag it into the header if required. Style it and adjust the widget size to suit.

Now copy and paste it to every page.

For future pages, you can make a template page which includes the navigation…

You can right click on a regular page to change it to a directory (but you can't go the other way)

Paul, I saw that earlier and figured it out before I saw your post. I watched all the video's and read the manual. It's kind of self explanatory in what 'Convert to Directory' does. That problem has been resolved. but perhaps a related question.

Is there a way to make a heading with drop-downs without the heading being a page? Just a static heading with drop-down links to pages under it?
