Hello, I've created a site using ever web 1.1 up to the current version. I've used the H1 web safe widget to enter all the appropriate header references. When I open the project in any version of ever web, as soon as I select a page all the headers refresh and in so doing strip out all the text I've added , leaving a box showing "HEADING". What have I done wrong, I'm about to lose weeks of work. Any help appreciated, thank you. I'm also losing all the images I inserted using the place image widget as well, I bought and installed two new sets of widgets about a week ago and I suspect that's the problem ? When you open a page in EverWeb, all the widgets refresh. Quite a few of us - especially those with larger sites - have experienced this bug where the widgets either refresh very slowly at times or not at all. Mostly, you can overcome this by quitting EverWeb and restarting it. When this happens, the info is still there but you just can't see it in the design canvas. Hello Roddy, I tried closing and re-opening the app but with the same result. The only thing which seems to work is to replace the header widget and the insert image widget with earlier versions. I have made two widget folders in the EverWeb folder, I use one set with sites made before I updated the widget sets and one for sites I've made since the widget update. Not ideal but it seems to work for now. |

When did you update the widgets? Are you referring to widgets that were installed before the V1.4 updates were sent out?

OK, I see what has happened. When I sent out the widget updates for EverWeb V1.4 I put in a note that, if these updates were installed, any items created with the old widgets would need to be recreated with the new ones. As soon as you open a page in EverWeb with items created with an old version, the widgets will refresh and their content will disappear as you have found. You then need to recreate the item with the new one. I would advise you to take the time to do this if you intend to update to V1.7 at some point. If you have tried the beta, you will see that the widget settings panel has been reduced in width for some obscure reason. This means that a lot of the widget controls run off the page in this new version. Because of this, I have had to update over 200 widgets with new dimensions so that they will fit the new version of the app. I will be sending out updates for all the widgets so that those who want to move on to V1.7 can reinstall the modified ones.
