Problems with publishing to Everweb Host

User: Warren W. 11 years ago
I am trying to publish a site to the ever web server, which seems to be taking a great deal of time, and nothing seems to be happening. The Site Publishing settings page says that it is publishing, however the Progress slider in the Everweb Location section hasn't appeared. I am currently trying to use my 4G phone as a hotspot, as I average about 2Mbits per sec upload speed, and it has been going for two hours with no change. My last attempt was on my satellite internet system, with an upload speed of only 250 Kb/sec, and after 5 hours, it finally started to show the progress bar. I halted that upload to try the faster network, but no luck yet. My site is about 100 MB in size.

Is there any way of me accessing my website files on the Everweb Host server using Fetch? At least this way I could see what progress has been made.

A connection to the server should happen almost immediately and it should only take about 15-20 minutes max to upload a site of this size.
Since this is not happening for you, I would suggest you click the Support tab in the navigation of this page, open a trouble ticket and let them know the publishing settings that you are using.

Thanks Roddy. I think I've found the problem. Because of the bandwidth problems I have with either my 4G phone or mores with the 4G satellite internet feed, I thought it was strictly that. Then I noticed a forum item that suggested unchecking the secure publishing tag in the publishing window. After doing this, I re-published via my phone hotspot, and the entire upload took about 15 min.
