Cannot see if a grouped object is selected or not

I thought this had been posted before but I could not find it on the forums, so here goes... Select two or more objects. Now group them using Arrange> Group. Fine. There is the box around the whole group. Now try to select the thing and you don't know if you have or not as there is no visual indication to tell you. So, you have to guess... If I want to move the grouped object i have to have the cursor on one of the items in the group. If I try to move by clicking and holding in "empty space" in the grouped box then nothing happens. Same thing if I want to delete the whole group. I have to click on an item in the group to get the grab hand. Then I can delete. Can we have something to tell us that the group is selected? e.g. different coloured handles, round handles not square etc etc... and some method where EW knows that if I click anywhere in the box it becomes selected and I can move it around as I please, delete it etc etc. This is with EW 1.6 public release version... Thanks Simon |

| The Group option is nice indeed, but it lacks any handles which you do get to see when selecting the various items. | |

We're working on improving this but you currently cannot resize the objects in a group.

Hi Paul Agree on the resize. When I want to move the grouped object (or maybe send it to back/front) is when I need to see that I have selected the group. At the moment I have to guess if I have selected the group before moving it. |

There is a gray border around the grouped shape when it is selected.

| Hi Paul, yes, my apologies there is the gray border (I was not at my computer to look when I wrote my comment!) - so to clarify... it's not easy to distinguish the selected group object from any other object on the page. So, is there any better way to make it more obvious when the grouped object has been selected (e.g. use black grab handles for instance)... thanks | |
