Viewing Floating Text and Text Boxes

Floating Text and Text Boxes

User: Steven H. 11 years ago
There are a lot of interesting websites that I've seen over the last year that incorporate a large, stationary still image background and the text boxes and general page assets scroll over that background. It's probably too sophisticated for EverWeb to offer but I was just curious how much so. Also curious to know if others may be interested as well. Here's an example where the bridge background doesn't move but everything else scrolls north and south. Thanks for looking. Steven

And then I found Roddy's post, nice work Roddy. I hope I have the ability to do this.

"I did a demo a while back for a "pseudo" full width header which allows the user to add the header content in EverWeb. This is it updated to use with a full size responsive background image…"

There's a widget to insert the background image…

… and one to create the transparent background to drop a text box or heading onto…

Roddy, you are such a big help to people in these forums. I appreciate your attention and knowledge.

Thanks for the updated info about the widgets. I already tried just based on the answer I first found about the full-width header, but I couldn't set the background image. I'll try with your widgets later. Just curious though, do these changes slow down overall functionality?

Thanks again,
Steven
