I've generally found over time since v1.2 the after a while my HTML snippets will no longer preview within Everweb, to get it to work again i have to save+quit then reopen and it will work again for a little bit, i don't think i experienced this much at all in v1.4 but has been happening for quite a while, also in v1.6 it still didn't work after quiting - reopening so i'm currently working in v1.5 as that works for a little while. I use quite a lot of HTML snippets throughout the 2 websites i have made for things like twitter feed, ecommerce shop and for creating my shapes using CSS rather than using the shapes option as it loads instantly using CSS. |

As you can imagine, I have literally hundreds of items inserted with widgets and snippets on the EverWeb Codebox site. Most of us who use widgets and snippets experience this from time to time and there seems to be no rational explanation for it. Sometimes I open a project and all the snippets are present and correct. Other times they update and do so quickly. On a few occasions they all show the updating symbol but do nothing and, in the worst case, all I get is a bunch of mid grey rectangles to look at. It isn't related to anything I am doing outside of the app, the time of day or the weather. I have no idea what causes this. I have post this bug on several occasions. Yeah i noticed it said adjust the delay but that did nothing for me. Everweb please fix this! it would be a huge improvement if you do, then i would no long have to preview the page ever time to check code within a HTML snippet! |

I would imagine this would be a very difficult one to track down since it only seems to happen to some people some of the time. We have never been able to reproduce this unfortunately. Generally if you are having an issue with your Internet connection it may happen. Switching from one page and back, or quitting should resolve it if all widgets get stuck. But we will continue to investigate here and hopefully find a solution. I'm still experiencing this, much to my surprise. This is a video playlist, all mucked up in EW. Also missing on this page is a FB button. And while I wish I had 19.3 thousand twitter fans, that's hardly the case!

Funnily enough I haven't experienced this at all since my last post in this topic. Maybe I've scared it off with my fluent cursing! | I doubt my addition to this feed will make any difference as this has been going on since day one - but I'd just like to support it... again. Should Rage be in a position to fix it, even if it is with an update button, that would be helpful. This is after all the reason why people use drag and drop creators, so they can immediately see their results on a page. Roddy's widgets are one of the coolest reasons to buy EW, without them my site would look like an iWeb site or worse still a word document! Having great widgets work seamlessly is a big part of the user experience. We all get by, but I fear this won't be the last post on this topic as new users come on board... | |

One of the things I've noticed about using code injection is that EW (inside the application itself) sometimes has difficulty reading stylesheets dragged into Assets. I was doing a demo of a Mega Menu today and the app wasn't reading changes to the stylesheet too well at all. As soon as I pasted the styles into the Head Code box in the Page inspector everything worked as planned. Usually, when we are faced with grey widgets, it's because they all try to update at once for some reason. Other times they don't want to update at all and everything is fine. It only happens on my larger sites (150+ pages) and not on the smaller test sites. It must have something to do with the sheer number of widgets. This has been talked about ad nauseam, but it really makes it difficult working with EverWeb when you can't preview your work. My html widgets for Vimeo videos still don't show. So I have to publish, review on my phone (as I'm now working on mobile pages), then break the link and republish so no one else goes there while it's still a mess!
