Viewing Video widget

Video widget

User: Jurgen V. 11 years ago
Hello! I need to upload videos using the Video widget.

After I drag the video widget onto the page I'm designing, and click on the drop down CHOOSE MP4 video, I can't find my Quicktime movie (I put in my regular MacBook Pro MOVIES files). How do I find it and where should I keep the files? Any other tips are appreciated (the maximum size of Quicktime movie, can you put a thumbnail image on the link...). Thanks!

The movie files will be wherever you saved them from QuickTime. Try using the spotlight feature to locate them.

You can use any size for QuickTime movies but remember the larger they are the longer it will take for visitors to download them when visiting your site.

Make sure you are following copyright rules of the media you are publishing.

Paul, using the Spotlight feature does not help (I know where the files are located, that's not the problem). Easyweb is not allowing me to drag my Quicktime movie onto the page. It's saying I must CHOOSE VIDEO and the video is not listed in the drop-down menu.

Drag your movie file into the EverWeb Assets List column.

Thanks Roddy! That worked! Is there any way I can put a thumbnail image on the video? Right now, it's defaulting to what appears to be the first frame of my video.

If you use this widget you can add a poster image.
