Publishing issue

User: jdm4given 13 years ago
I made a one page, temporary website and published it, no problem. I was building a separate website for when we are ready to launch our organization. The full website is about 20 pages. I published the full site to overwrite the small/one page site. It took a long time 3 hours, so I stopped and tried to republish the mini site..........In the publish/upload window it seems to not be making a distinction between the one page sit and the full site and it is taking a very long time for the one page site which, at first only took 4 minutes to publish. I hope I am making sense. It is like it goes through uploading all the stuff from the full site when I am trying to publish a completely different site/website in easy web. While it was going through all the stuff it was trying to upload, I opened a new window and went to my page and the mini site was up and published but the easyweb publisher window said it was uploading all kinds of stuff from the full site. I clicked stop and my one page website was published. Its almost like the Easyweb program can't distinguish between the different projects or websites when publishing. I hope I am making sense as I am an amature and don't know much about computers. Both of my site are named "new website" in the opening window of easyweb, could this be the issue? If so, how do I change it.?? Thanks

I suspect that because the websites were named the same it caused this problem.

Rename your websites (by clicking the website name and pressing the return key in your keyboard) and then publish them again. Let me know if that fixes the problem.

No. Changed the name and its doing the same thing.

also, I am still watching it upload the full website now, but, I noticed that changing the name of the website in the publish box doesn't change the name of the website in the list on the left....it still says "new website" even after i changed the name and hit enter.

Im gunna hit "stop" as I dont need it to upload......whatever it is trying to upload. Did you get a chance to look at my site.? http://thebridgeal.org

Sorry for the confusion, don't change the name under Site Name in the Publish settings.

Select the page in the upper left corner of EasyWeb. You change it in the listing there, not in that field.

I think it should work if you do that.

Here is something specific that may be a bug. So, when I renamed the website and then published it, it worked fine. BUT, when I exited out of easy web and reopened the software, the website name was not saved and I had to rename it each time I reopened it.
