I deleted the password entry on my homepage, published changes but the password still remains, quit everweb - opened and published changes again but still hasnt removed the password, cleared the cache on my browser but still the same, used firefox, chrome and safari and still getting password required on them all. I noticed the beta 2 annouced mentioned this: "- Deleting all passwords from a directory will properly remove password protection" downloaded 1.5b2 Build 1262 and repeated the above and it still requires a password. |

Update: i managed to remove the password by adding the exact same username and password - publish site changes and then click remove rather than hit backspace and publish changes again. not sure if the problem was caused by 1.4 or if there is also a problem with 1.5b2 but the issue was still there after downloading 1.5b2 and publishing. |

Most likely what happened is you published with 1.4 and then marked the page as not changed so when you updated to 1.5, that page was not published at all meaning the passwords wouldn't be removed. Since you made a modification to it afterwards (it turned red), EverWeb was able to republish without the passwords for you. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |
