Hi Roddy, Got some of your widgets. I 'm using the Pager swipe slider on a few pages. It works ok on and iPad. I don't like the look of it too much as the images are different sizes. I mean some are tall and some appear too high up on the screen so are cut off. Should I re-size each image? I read about 'aspect ratio' somewhere but I'm afraid they won't all be the same and line up nicely. Also each image in the slider is about 400kb in size. There are 6 images. Is this too large to load quickly on an iPhone? D |

This type of slider is designed for images all the same size. You can use iPhoto are Preview.app to crop them if you don't have a dedicated application for doing this. You should create a separate version of the slider for your mobile website page. The image files can be reduced to a maximum of 640px wide for viewing in portrait mode on a retina device as there's not much point in using bigger ones due to the screen size. Again, you can use Preview for this. Launch the image in Preview and use "Adjust Size" in the Tools drop down menu. | When I click on Preview I do not see an option to select mobile. How do you preview the site on a mobile device? | |

| You have to tell Everweb in the Inspector window for each page in mobile settings. Its a bit confusing I found but works. Example.. you could set your index page in "Mobile Settings " to none and tick the box "This page is for mobile devices. When you log in to you index page on the web on a phone you'll see that page. Or you could re-direct it to another page. Best way to create a good mobile site is start another project as it will work better with less images, bigger text, links, buttons and a different layout than your main site. i did a few test pages in my main website project set up with mobile style master pages (smaller page width and more padding in the navigation to space links apart) just to test. Much easier no to copy the main site unless it is already mobile friendly or quite simple.D You will have to publish the site before you can see it on a mobile device like iPhone or iPad to answer your question | |
