Hyperlink item to the left of nav bar in header does not work

User: wellnl 11 years ago
Hi

I recently restructured my project so that I can use the nav menus in my website. Fine. Works great. If I insert a logo image to the left of it and then add a hyperlink (to always return the user to the home page) the hyperlink does not work. If I place the hyperlinked image (or text, which I have also tried) to the right all works ok. The menu is generated using the EverWeb widget. The hyperlinked image or text and menu are in the header. This is all in a master page as well.

I did try to add the logo on each page instead of having it in the master page but no success.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Simon

If the navigation is covering the logo, the logo link won't work since the navigation has a very high z-index and sits above everything else.
If you haven't already done so, show the layout and make sure the logo is dragged clear of the navigation.

Hi roddy

Thanks for the quick feedback. The page layout is on and the logo is well clear of the menu bar. I will play further with distancing the two items to see if that helps. Will update this post once I have experimented. I have also tried EW 1.5 beta 1 but the result is the same.

The problem occurs when you select "Alignment : center" in the menu widget.

Change it to align left or right.

Also notice that the menu wraps > Info

Thanks jumbo. Setting the menu alignment to the left worked - thanks. Don't know if this is a bug if having the alignment centred causes a problem. Guess that's down to Paul :)
