Are you referring to a single level vertical menu or a two level one with fly outs rather than drop downs?

Sorry pretty important information :-)
I am talking about a fly out rather then a drop down. I already managed to resize the navagation menu so i Got it vertical but the menus are dropping Down on the other menus it Would look alot Better with fly out.. If i remember right, that future was in the earlier beta versioner..

Two level - an above - menus are fairly involved style wise and, as can be seen from the comments about the default menu, you can't please all the people all the time!

I dare say the developers may consider this alternative type of navigation in the future but, right now, it's early days and they have some much requested features still to implement such as the blog.

With the advent of Master pages, it is now feasible to use a custom menu design which would just require updating on the master page every time a page is added to the site.
There are numerous online CSS menu creation website where a custom menu can be created and the code copied and pasted into the appropriate places in an EverWeb master page.

I must say a navigationbar should be pretty standard for all Web apps! A verticall navigationbar should already be here.. I have been here for1 year, and i am still using iWeb.. I am just saying this in the future request so they know this is missing!! I dont pay for everweb and there host service so that i need to learn about coding..

I understand you are making a request and I'm just suggesting that there are ways to implement this until the feature becomes available.

You don't need to learn about code to be able to this - just data entry.

Here's a demo of a simple flyout

As far as I know, it's not possible to create an external widget to do this - otherwise I would have done it by now!

If you look at the source code you'll see that it's not exactly rocket science. I have commented the styles to make customization easy and the HTML structure is just an unordered list.
