| Quick URL checking as you hover your mouse over a link in the page design with the yellow URL pop-up as in iWeb. Anyone else in favor for this feature? See attached screen dump image from iWeb. | |

The quick yellow url checking popup is a tooltip. It's the title attribute of a HTML element. Any HTML element. http://www.w3schools.com/tags/att_global_title.asp And if you want a quick check, hover the mouse over a link and look at the status bar at the bottom of the browser window. |

iWeb is very unusual in respect of the fact that the title attribute is used for the actual hyperlink. How many times did we see people asking in the iWeb forum how to get rid of that ugly yellow box? The img tag can have both an alt attribute and a title attribute. The alt is used by the SE spiders to get info about the image and the title attribute does the same for the human visitors. The Photo Link widget allows you to insert both attributes. Those who don't like the yellow box can leave the title empty. If you don't like the default title appearance it can always be styled. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! After you create an external links page in EverWeb with many links than you would prefer to check the URL's quickly in the EverWeb design window (not in the browser window Jumbo T.) Instead of checking every URL in the EverWeb Inspector pallet one by one I favored the yellow URL popup from iWeb by just hovering your mouse over the links. I agree with Roddy that the 'ugly yellow box' gets in the way sometimes. So an on/off switch was defenitely needed in iWeb. How about an EverWeb yellow URL pop-up mouse hover check in the design window combined with a Window-menu option toggle called Show/Hide yellow URL Pop-up would be perfect and pleasant in use. |

The yellow URL box Cornelis V. is talking about is in the design mode of iWeb, not published... It was a nice/useful little add in the design mode.... You didn't have to go to the licks in the inspector to check a link.
