Viewing Gallery light box and the back button
Gallery light box and the back button

I'm still setting up my site and I just previewed one of my galleries. I've noticed that the number of images I view in the light box gallery is equal to the number of times I have to click the back button after I get out of the box to go to the previous page. I've never experienced this behavior before with other website light boxes. Is this normal for Everweb? Is there a way to adjust a setting so that a gallery light box is considered only one page view (regardless of the number of images) so visitors can immediately go back to the previous page when they close the box without numerous clicks on the back button? Thanks! |

This isn't anything to do with EverWeb. The Gallery widget uses the Prettyphoto plugin and the HTML is an unordered list rather than a bunch of links like a lot other galleries. Note how the demo on THIS page does exactly the same. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! | Thanks Roddy. I've never noticed that behavior before in a light box. I can just create a back button on each gallery page so visitors won't have to deal with that.

Try the demo I linked to in this topic. How does that work for you? ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! | Great resources Roddy, much appreciated! My question is this; do I need to purchase Everweb before I add any widgets? I would like to get a little closer to launch (which could be a few weeks) so I can maximize my one year of updates. Thanks again!

You can get the widgets and add them to the website content while in trial mode. Just bare in mind that the dynamic ones need to be published or viewed in Preview mode to see them in action. Some may even require uploading to the server before they will burst into life.

Google Chrome sometimes doesn't work too well with preview. Try publishing to a local folder if you can't publish to the server.
