| In iWeb I was able to create a shape, square or whatever, and then copy and paste it at that size throughout a page to make place holders and menu buttons then drag a picture from my photos in the side bar and it would automatically convert the shape into a mask of that size. This was very helpful in my product screen to keep my items sized the same and move quickly in setting up new pages, adding items to an existing page etc... | |

You can't use Drag and drop for this but you can go to the Fill Settings under Shape Settings in Inspector and change your image from there to achieve the same thing.

| No chance that you will be adding this in the future?? It runs into a lot of work by the time you have to scroll through a couple hundred photos in that list to get to the bottom one. | |

You can also use the Choose... option from that menu and then drag and drop the image from the media gallery into the open file dialog. It will appear selected within that window. Then click Open...
