Maximum object height readout 2000?

Created a long list with diplomas and the webpage did extended as much as needed to accommodate the elaborate list. But after that I could not check or change the height if the object to a specific value because the height value reverts back to the value of 2000 when you click on it. My guess is that the object in question was about 2500 but as soon as I clicked on the Height value adjustment control arrows then the object immediately jumped back to the hight of 2000. So you are able to create shapes bigger than 2000 in EverWeb without any problem or corrupting your page. But the hight inspector does not show you any size beyond 2000 and when you click on the adjustment arrows than you object jumps back to maximum value of 2000. |

| Both a shape or a text box do not go beyond 2000. You are able to drag them way bigger than 2000. But the Height value does not register that and defaults back to 2000 after clicking on it. | |

For text, I recommend you split it up into multiple text objects. For images/shapes, that's very large image/shape to want to add to your site. Is there a reason you need them to be so big? ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

I do not agree with your recommendation to split up into multiple text objects. In my case it was a long list of qualifier diplomas that will change frequently. Editing will be a nuance when splitting the text up into multiple parts. I you remove three qualifier diplomas sentences then there will be gaps in the list so you have to move text objects to simulate one text block which is of course a real drag to do and very unproductive. At the back of this text block is an as long shape with rounded corners and a 50% opacity that also gives the size problem. Do you have a technical or programmer problem with EverWeb that the Height field has reached a limit that you can not go beyond? |

Yours is a rather unusual situation since it is not normal practice to make a web page over 2000px far less a single object. All you need to do is drop an empty text box on the page and drag it downwards to make the content height as many thousands of pixels as you require. Just leave it there so that you can quickly adjust the content height - up or down - in the future. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! I would also like to see text boxes larger then 2000px height, I made a form in jotform but it's 2300px in height. I'm using the textbox behind the html snippet with a color background with transparency. But since its up to 2000px Everweb is not able to fill the whole background of my form. I tried to put a new textbox under the 2000px textbox but it's not working. |

If one textbox is not enough, use more. Or skip that and enclose your jotform script with a div ; <code><div style="background-color: pink; opacity:0.4; filter:alpha(opacity=40); padding: 15px; width: 500px;"> <script>jotform script here</script> </div></code> Something like this : http://trotter.is-best.net/includes/form.html Last edit 12 years ago |
