Feature request 1: A "backbutton" which takes you back to the previous page, then automatically scrolling down to the place where you were standing before hitting a link…… I would like a button with this as a prepaired function, would be very nice to pull out on a page like a widgetbutton. We all know how frustrating it is when need to find that spot again after a little linksurfing, right? This would be especially nice when going from a Gallerypage with many thumbnails, into a slideshow, then returning to the thumbnails to find the next one. ------------------ Feature request 2: During a slideshow, clicking the arrows to change pictures manually stops the autoslide – a bit later you want the automatic slide show to start again…..how? As it is now you have to go back to the Gallery page and start over again. Give us a shortcut like hitting the spacebar to pause-and-restart the auotorun. Like you can do when watching a youtube video. Also let us use the keyboard buttons (arrows) to change picture back and forward…… that's also a kind of wellknown standard. The basic slideshow is VERY nice and clean as is, but please add these functions to make it more complete. Thanks |

Quote: A "backbutton" which takes you back to the previous page, It would mean that the webpage has to register all movements and click of a mouse and then determine which event is the right one to restore the previous situation on a certain page. The previous and next buttons in browsers already do that. Command-Left-Arrow and Command-Right-Arrow do the same. Quote: We all know how frustrating it is We? |

Ok, you're absolutely right about the backbutton in the browser allready do that. I realize now that it's from there I've got it without noticing :) I was adding a backbutton in the slideshow because some (not we, no) get confused if the slideshow is running on a black full browser screen and no button to get out from there. A slight confusion at least for a few moments. Hitting ESC is a common way of getting out of slideshows. At least at this part of the world. When that doesn't work (like in the Evereweb widget), the browserbackbutton is what one is going for. What else can one do. I'm sure there are people who do it the other way around or exacly right for how it works now. That depends on who is visiting the site, right? People navigate in different ways. My little backbutton takes the confused ones to the very top of the previous page, which some of us, perhaps depending on state of mode, could feel frustrating. No problem, most of us get over it in time. It might be better to take the button off page so that those stupid little fools learn the hard way – and as a bonus get back to the right spot on the previous page ;) Anyway, thanks. As for the other featurerequest, I would be happy to be able to stop and start the autoflow in the slideshow without the need to start the show all over again from the thumbnail. Using keyboard arrows to change pictures back and forth would also be very nice. I'm used to that, but I can only speak for myself, of course. It could be a few more that would appreciate that. I dunno. I'm sure I can find a third part slideshow widget somewhere that has it built in. The one in EverWeb is very clean and nice, though. I like it. I woulden't spend time on feature request otherwise. |
