EverWeb SEO not working as well as iWeb SEO for photos

Very few of the photos on my EverWeb photography website (launched in December) are showing up in Google search. I've taken steps suggested by RAGE (naming photos, etc.) but the images are ranked so low on Google I can't find them. My blog posts aren't ranked very high either (I built my blog feature manually). Conversely, my iWeb blog posts and photos would rank very high and appear on Google after just a couple weeks using RAGE's iWeb SEO tool. I discontinued my iWeb site in favor of EverWeb, which I love. I'm just disappointed the SEO isn't as responsive as the iWeb SEO for photos, which had the option of tagging photos individually. That is missing in EverWeb. Anyone have any suggestions or tips? Not sure why, for me, RAGE's iWeb SEO tool worked better. My website: www.jeffkingphotography.net |

EverWeb inserts images as the background to a div rather than use the img tag so there is no opportunity to add alt or title text for SEO. The alternative is to use HTML like this… http://everwebcodebox.com/image/image-code.html You could also use these widgets if you don't want to deal with code… http://everwebcodebox.com/widgets/insert-image.html http://everwebcodebox.com/widgets-2/image-lightbox.html Using the lightbox widgets, you can create a gallery by grouping a number of them. These also allow alt text and title/captions. They can be contained inside a shape created using this… http://everwebcodebox.com/widgets/shapes.html … to avoid using PNGs to get the same effect. Failing that, a text description of each image - or the contents of a slideshow - will help with SEO. Most sites which feature images, music and movies don't have these text descriptions or even captions. Although I have just created a bunch of widgets for slideshows and galleries I haven't been able to find a way to allow users to insert alt tags. The alternative is to create these using code insertion and some examples are shown in this section to the site… http://everwebcodebox.com/sliders/website-slideshow.html ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
