Second time I have done this. Clicked project > Saved to disk > Placed Backup.everweb in folder. No longer shows up in Project Window. How do I place it back into project window? What am I doing wrong when backing up? Thanks |

Judging by the crash report you sent in, you are renaming the project file and not actually copying it out of the Application Support folder. You should quit EverWeb, and COPY the project file and place it outside of the Application Support directory. If you rename the project file (removing the .everweb extension), or move it out of the Application Support folder, it won't appear in the Recent Projects list. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

| Thanks for answering in forum. I have submitted a ticket. Because I am not experienced in web design or code which surely I am not the only one, I do still do not understand how to place project file back into Project Window. Please provide easy step by step instructions for beginners like me. I have project on my desktop in folder. What do I do next? Where & how do I put it back? Name of folder on location on HD? | |

The project file goes into the EverWeb folder in the Application Support folder which is in the user library. The path is… ~library/Application Support/EverWeb Open the user library by holding down the Option key while in the Finder Go menu. An easier way - if you have any other projects in EverWeb - is to open the Projects Window from the EW file menu. Control click any project file name and then click the "Show On Disk" popup. This will open the EverWeb folder and you can drag the project file off the desktop and into it. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! | I appreciate your patience. I was wrong had renamed it to Backup.everweb. Followed your instructions found EW library folder. Moved Backup.everweb back into folder. Now appearing in project window. Backed up several times. it is overwriting Backup.everweb. Because I renamed it will this effect my website in any way? Will that file name change tomorrow when I back up? | |
