Pointing and unpointing domains to Rage and Everweb question

I have a few domains hosted with a different company. I've pointed one of those domains (my primary Everweb account) from the other company to you for using on Everweb. I understand that the Everweb account allows for 3 domains. I can go to my other hosting service and using C-panel point the domains to Rage for working on Everweb. Don't know if it will just show up or if I need to do something else as I have not done it as yet. If I did point 2 additional domains to Rage for use with Everweb and then decided to point them back to the other service how do I do that? I've always used C-panel to do it but without C-panel ????????? I don't see any way in the 'client area' do do any of that. Can it be done? Adding 2 more domains and pointing or unpointing them. Hi Dan, EverWeb accounts can actually have an unlimited number of domains used on the one account. Two things need to be done when you want to use an add-on domain with your account. 1) As you mentioned, you must update your domain's name servers (DNS) to have your EverWeb hosting account's DNS. This is done on the website where the domain is currently registered. 2) The second thing you need to do is add your domain as an add-on domain in your account. Here is a video on how to do that (note: this video was made when EverWeb was called EasyWeb so there is some reference to EasyWeb in it. The video will be updated shortly). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5EB5BwRPjmM As for pointing the domain back to the other service, this is done the exact same way as before. Updating the DNS is always done on the website where the domain is currently registered. Last edit 12 years ago |

Hello Jeremy, Just as Dan asked you I'm trying to have a second domain hosted on EverWeb. I have added willemlinders.nl as an add-on domain, that is visible and at Dutchwebhosting I have pointed to the ns102.ragesw.com and ns103.ragesw.com nameserver. It does not work. I did the following test: Test DNS-zone willemlinders.nl op ns102.ragesw.com. Info Name: willemlinders.nl Address: 96.30.51.52 willemlinders.nl nameserver = ns102.ragesw.com. willemlinders.nl nameserver = ns103.ragesw.com. willemlinders.nl mail exchanger =0 willemlinders.nl. www.willemlinders.nl canonical name = willemlinders.nl. *** Warning : Domain does not resolve properly. *** Warning : Domain MX record willemlinders.nl IN MX 0 willemlinders.nl. is not properly resolved. *** Ok : Domain www CNAMe record is valid. Must I change other settings ? Thank you, WIllem |

Nameservers can take up to 24 hours to start working and take effect. For me your website works now. For you it can take up to 24 hours to start working. Everything is set properly, you don't need to do anything else.

Maybe you could create a new topic for your suggestion in the Feature Requests section of the forum. Here are some examples of "mobile friendly" navigation done in EverWeb… Lightweight SIngle Level Single Level Drop Down Two Level Drop Down Mobile Navigation Here's an example of how the drop down can be customized for a smart phone version of the website. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
