Viewing Head Code and Widgets in the Header
Head Code and Widgets in the Header

Adding CSS to the head code box in the Site Publishing Settings page is working nicely as long as I remember to add the code before inserting the actual widget code! There's something a little strange happening to the widgets in the head section of the page. When I set them up on one page, go to another and then return to the first, the divs that contain the custom h1 and navigation resize themselves. Notice that the custom h2 in content section is not effected... ![]()

HI Roddy, I noticed this for your navigation bar. I fixed on issue I told you about before with the nav not being aligned properly. I had to remove some CSS. As for the reason why it's resizing, I am not 100% sure yet. I don't have time to really go over your code but I will once EasyWeb is more finalized. As for the style not being applied to the widget, what we need is a refresh page button under the header code. Also, right now all widgets will refresh themselves each time the page is loaded. This shouldn't happen. If we fix this it will for the most part fix this issue you are having as well as a few others. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

I did remove the margin: 0 auto from the CSS as you had pointed out. I suppose it is the Widgets refreshing that's doing it - makes sense. Every time I resize them with the metrics inspector they jump back when I reload the page. I just wonder why it does it with the h1 in the header and not the h2 in the content? ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! I just tried getting rid of the header area so that the h1, h2, and navigation are all in the content. Both the h1 and h2 work as intended but the navigation is still erratic. I still can't see why the difference since I have modified the navigation CSS to remove the margins and padding that I had used to center it. I made the navigation div size in the CSS the same as the size for the containing div set in the metrics inspector. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! The next beta has improvements for this. I'm not 100% sure if it will fix all your issues, but it should be much better.

I have sent you a movie of the latest weird behavior of the HTML Widget. I know you are making it very easy for new users by having the app do a lot of things for them but this is taking it too far. When it repositions and reshapes the content of the Widget, its like EasyWeb is telling me that I screwed up and it will fix it for me! Enjoy the movie and have a laugh. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
