Videos in EverWeb?

Can I insert videos onto my website pages in EverWeb? If so, what file type(s) are available? The reason I want to know is I am going to be converting my current website from iWeb which uses Quicktime. Many of my customers complain they can't view the videos on their Windows machines without having to upgrade their Quicktime software. And quite often the person either can't figure out how to upgrade or doesn't want to bother. So they don't see the very instructive videos I have made about my company. Does EW allow for a video format that is easier to view on a Windows platform? If there is such a format can I convert my .mov files to that type -- or, at least, be able to make a video in iMovie using that format? Dan |

The easiest and best solution is to use Youtube. That ensures compatibility with almost ever device. Otherwise you can use the HTML5 Video widget under the Widgets tab. You will need an MP4 file as well as a OGG file and WebM file for optimal support. Youtube takes care of all the above for you that is why it is recommended. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Paul Thanks for the super fast response. How seamless does that look? Is there an example (or several) of EverWebbers using this technique on their websites that I can look at? Dan |
