I've noticed that things have really slowed down in the forums over the last month. I guess it's a good sign that the bug page isn't being filled with threads every day. I personally have just become busy with another project and at this point, am generally happy with having the start of a website I can gradually build on. I see Roddy's taken to widget building. Where does he find the time??

Quote: I see Roddy's taken to widget building. Where does he find the time?? I've been creating an actual website with EW - rather than a bunch of test pages. It's taken me 3 days to do around 50 pages so it's kind of slow going. I've managed to create 9 widgets so far and they are all fairly basic. Three of them are movie widgets. I really need some picky film maker to test these. Do you know one? Darren kindly tested my smooth scroll back to the top button widget. I asked Darian (Pumpkin) if he would test the insert image one but he either didn't PM me or the PM function isn't working again. It allows the user to add alt and title info plus create a CSS frame around the image. Once I get the website out of the way I'm going to try a few more widgets. I have a list of potential candidates like popup window and modals. I have designed 3 audio player widgets and I need to try a playlist next. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! You should be given a 20% share in the company! Ha. Naturally I jest... I'll pm you my email and you can send me those me movie widgets. Do I need instructions on how to import them into EW? I just might be that picky filmmaker. At this point, I only have .mp4 files to test with though. And it might take me a day or two or three to find the time to test them. As you know I've been using Sublime Video. At this point, they don't have Number of views. It's been promised though as a future implementation. Another request from people on their discussion board includes a Buy button. Also, you have to pay for social media integration - directly on the video. So if you can include any of these features, as well as an easy way to do playlists, you will be ahead of the pack! ------------------------------- rMBP 15", 2.6 Ghz, 16 GB RAM, OS X 10.11.6, with 27" Thunderbolt Cinema Display www.cleetche.com |

Two of the widgets are for inserting a single MP4 rather than having to supply MP4, OGG and WebM. They use a poster image with no preload so that you can put several on a page without increasing load time. The other one is called VeeTube and can insert Vimeo and YouTube in a custom frame. Installing is just a question of double clicking the widget. Here's an example of an audio player with Buy buttons. You can see that E-Junkie handles the digital distribution and the payments are via PayPal. Why would you want to desecrate a movie with a social media button? Maybe I should have asked for a film maker with taste rather than a picky one? PS: If you have PM'd me, I ain't got it. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! I just sent you a PM too. Seems it didn't work the last time. I wouldn't mind to test your scroll back up to the top widget too ;-) Let me know if you got my pm. Otherwise I'll have to post my email here. ------------------------------- Darian new to web design ______________________ My websites: <b>Vocal Affairs</b> // <b>Singkehlchen</b> |

We all know that when you're not creating widgets or helping people build awesome websites, you're idling away your time on Facebook, Twitter and Google plus! Admitting it's the first step to recovery. ------------------------------- rMBP 15", 2.6 Ghz, 16 GB RAM, OS X 10.11.6, with 27" Thunderbolt Cinema Display www.cleetche.com |

@ Chris: I did actually go on Facebook once this year! Have fun with the widgets. Unlike RageSW, I am paying my beta testers big bucks but, unfortunately, you didn't sign the contract! ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
