Crash on last version resulted in loss of Day's work

User: Christopher 12 years ago
Before I updated to the Final Candidate version, EverWeb crashed on me. I had spent the whole day working on a gallery page utilizing Shadowbox, hence prepping photos, thumbs, and writing code. The html code was pretty long, and I see in the notes that copy and pasting this over and over again might have been the reason for the crash. But after the crash, I was prompted to update to the newest version, and upon doing that and relaunching, discovered that my Gallery page was missing. Gone! Vamos! I had saved many times throughout the day. In fact, I'm an over-saver! I probably save every 5 minutes. I've read of other people experiencing this before, and now I guess it was my turn.

Hopefully this won't happen in vs 1.0... but in case it hasn't been addressed I'm writing this thread.

(And fortunately in my case, it won't take me long to rebuild that page.)

Is your website project file in your Application Support folder or did you move it out of that folder?

I didn't move it at all. Nor did I change it's name. I never go in there. That's the forbidden zone.

Ok try the following;

1. Open the site again
2. Make a change to it
3. Save it
4. Close the website
5. Re-open it and see if your change is still there

Let me know if it is or isn't.

I added my Gallery page back, saved, published changes, closed EW, reopened – and it's still there. So the changes carried over as they always have, except for the one crash.
