EW is not removing files / folders after publish to to folder. If I delete a page in EW and save then publish entire site to folder or publish site changes, the deleted files are still showing in the respective folder........ I thought that when a page is deleted, the files associated with the deletion are also removed. Am I correct in this matter? Thanks.... |

Quote: I thought that when a page is deleted, the files associated with the deletion are also removed This is the case with iWeb but it is not "normal". Even if/when EasyWeb does implement this, you will still need to delete the ones on the server using an FTP app or your host's file manager. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Do you mean take them out of EverWeb or the published folder?

Oooops. Good point. I was thinking of the published folder, but I suppose that won't delete them from the project file? I was going to do this......back up publish folder, back up project file. Open project.Duplicate Home page. Remove all images and other shape png's. Remove image assets from inspector.File save, publish changes. Remove all images from Home Image folder in the Publish Folder. Copy all elements from home duplicate folder back to home folder. Close eyes. Cross fingers. |

OK. I duplicated the "Home" page and have "Home-1" . I opened the new folder created for the duplicate in the images folder of the publish folder. At least I now know which Images and png's the "Home" page is actually using. I'll just weed out the unused images in the original "Home" folder in the publish folder. Hopefully this will do it. I have to wait anyway because all my carefully prepared , icc savvy jpegs are being converted to png files. That update can't come soon enough. BTW I thought you were a Mod from Rage....so I'm doubly grateful for your help. |
