Viewing Stroke / Picture Frame

Stroke / Picture Frame

User: Lars 12 years ago
Hi!

Working with EasyWeb Beta just for a few days and I am very impressed, what you guys created for a wonderful program!

Two things came up to my mind while working:

1) When putting in Pictures using the Inspector / Shape Options / Stroke - > Picture Frame

Would be great to have more than the one pretty simple frame to choose from. Maybe add a stamp-like frame and a "real" old school picture frame?

Plus: It ist nearly impossible to scale the frame of two pictures placed next to each other even, because it is using a pad very hard scaling. Thought about magnetic markers on the scale?

Bug:

I tried this: Putting in one picture / framing it / copy it / replace the image by another - in hope of getting the same frame size - but then the picture doesn't fit into the frame or the frame doesn't align with the picture....

2) Would be great adding a Outer and Inner Glow. A very nice feature I found in Adobe Muse...

Thanks!

Lars

PS: My remodeled website via EasyWeb should be up and running in a few days - is there a part in this forum to share it, like "Look, what I did with EasyWeb!" ?

You should have access to about 20 pictures frames. Do you not see those when clicking the picture frame in the Inspector?

Can you show a screenshot? i don't know what you mean here.

Also can you show screenshots here too. I am not sure what you mean.

You can take a screenshot by holding down the COMMAND and SHIFT keys on your keyboard and then pressing the number 3. An image file will appear on your desktop that you can attach to a forum reply.

Sorry - my mistake - they are there...

In the attachment two pictures. Maybe then you see what I mean...

First screenshot - there you can see the scale-thing - it is hard to make both frames the exact same size

second screenshot - replaced the guy with a girl - then the frame stays and doesn't align to the picture...

Ok we need to put a number in there so you can edit the scale of the picture frame.

For the image though you can adjust the width/height in the Inspector to match your other image though.

But isn't the picture streched then? With a photo of a woman not the best / naturally looking option...

Another thing: is it possible (like it was in iWeb) to crop the image? Or do I have to do that in photoshop?

iWeb didn't crop the image - it masked it which is quite different and not desirable in a website.

You can crop your images quickly and easily in Preview.app

You can use the metrics' width/height numerical values to ensure that all the photos are exactly the same size. So long as "constrain proportions" is checked, it won't skew or stretch your image. Then if EW gives us numbers for picture frames, you can match those perfectly too. Your problem will be solved!
