| I have my width set to 989 and height to 1000 . Is this standard? I have a black background and a black border which makes the site look quite wide..also everything is not centered ( even though it looks centered in easy web) ...when I publish it everything is leaning to the left with a disproportionate empty space on right. Its hard to know the proper center from the working form. | |

Your height/width settings are entirely up to you. As for the centering issue please post your website URL so I can take a look. Screenshots showing the difference between EasyWeb and your browser would also be helpful. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

If both your browser background and page background are the same color, make sure you have the layout turned on in EasyWeb. You can select this in the Window menu or use the keyboard command - Shift/Command/L ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! I sought advice in the early days for web page dimensions. I think vertical height is going to change according to how much content you put on the page. But I found most people recommending 960 or 980 px wide. If you plan on inserting video or tables of photos, you'll want a number that is easily divisible - not 989.

980px is what Apple use on their site- or used to anyway. That way you can use 960px - which is easily divisible - for content with a 10px margin. With so many designs being responsive now, width is not so much of an issue although it is wise to set a maximum width. A sensible number for this would be 1024px. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
