I'm working on mobile pages. Just a couple of quick questions before I do this incorrectly and have to re-do it all. I see that some mobile websites have a "main website" button. I gather that wouldn't work here because it would flip them back to the mobile version. Right? I thought I would use the navigation widget to create a mobile-only navigation bar but it pulled up my regular navigation bar. Not a problem, because links will work just fine, but I want to be sure I'm not overlooking something clever that I could do instead. Thanks! |

When you want to link to the desktop version of your site you'll need to use the Link to External page options and then enter; http://www.yourdomain.com/page-name.html?fullsite=true changing yourdomain.com with your actual domain and page-name with the name of the page you are linking to. It is best to publish your site first and copy and paste the full URL from your web browser. Then add ?fullsite=true to the end. The navigation will always point you to the correct page depending on whichever device you are on. Please note that as of right now the navigation bar is not 100% mobile optimized. Don't use anything other than Left Aligned under the Widget Options in the Inspector. It is currently recommended that you create your own navigation bar using a text box and hyperlinking to the proper pages for now. However, it may work fine for you if you use the built in navigation bar. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Perfect! Thanks, that was very helpful! One more question -- will the contact widget work on a mobile device? |

I must be doing something wrong. I'm putting in http://www.kristadavis.com/home.html?fullsite=true and I've also tried kristadavis as the page name. Both come up as not found. This might just be something weird on my computer, or it could be a glitch. When I put the link in (even if I save) and then go to a different page for a moment, it's gone when I return. Except it's not really gone. It slips out of sight and returns if I click the downward arrow once. Thanks! |
