Question for admin. Is the 'Rage' website made with Easyweb?

Just curious to know if Rage has enough faith in the current state of Easyweb beta to use it themselves.

Since the Rage website exists for much longer than even the first beta of EasyWeb I guess the answer will be "no".

I agree, Rage should lead ... probably will lead by example, if they move across to easyweb would it effect their google ranking?

Agree, I would think it's not. If it was I'm sure they would make every effort to tell us. As BETA users we're encouraged to use Easyweb to design websites. For Rage to redo they're own site in Easyweb would be a testament to their support of the product and it's viability as a real web design application.

Again, It was just a thought that crossed my mind and I was curious.

Since our website was created before EasyWeb existed it is not built with EasyWeb.

We are working on an EasyWeb specific site that is built with EasyWeb.

The EasyWeb video tutorials page is built with EasyWeb though.

This is a bit like suggesting that Apple should be building OSX with beta versions of their compilers to show that they have faith in them, and that they should have used iWeb to manage their web presence. Public-facing production systems should be built with stable tools. And as great as EasyWeb is, it is not (yet) the equivalent of a full-fledged content management system. It's being touted as filling the void left by the deprecation of iWeb, which was meant mainly for non-technical users building personal sites. And although EasyWeb is aiming higher than that, it may be multiple releases before it has enough features to take the place of Rage Software's current CMS. Let's just encourage them to keep up the good work, rather than giving them a hard time over a premature expectation.

I originally thought of the question after Roddy made a comment on the design of the Rage website. I signed on as a beta user to determine if Easyweb would be the application I would use to construct a new website. I do understand that Easyweb is a 'work in progress' but had thought that as the website I'm constructing became more complicated Easyweb would also be evolving and with a bit if work (or work arounds) fill the need. Although I am continuily playing with Easyweb beta I abandoned the decision to use it at this time and for simplicity sake have gone a different direction. Easyweb needs more evolution, perhaps a year or two before it works for my simple current needs.

The Rage website isn't a complicated one. I thought that if Rage had made a switch to a product they were developing and had to deal with Easyweb's shortcomings the evolution of the product would be faster. Many visionaries and inventors use the product their working on for that specific reason.

On the other hand I know Easyweb isn't the primary focus of Rage but a developing product to fill the void left by the demise of Iweb. With that in mind I can see how it wouldn't be a wise business decision for Rage to use the product at this time for the same reason I chose not to myself.

Again, I was just curious. I enjoy following the evolution of Easyweb and am eager to see the state of the product and it's viability as a web design tool to replace Iweb in about a year.

Keep up the good work guys.

The rage website is an extremely complex site. There is a backend database for all the software. Enterprise support system, two ecommerce stores that process orders, send out licensing info, manage all of our customer data and much more. It also has a discussion Forum, blogs and more

The Rage website is certainly not a simple site in any way.

But as stated before we are working on an easyweb section made in EasyWeb. This is why we have a beta program because all of our systems are not yet ready. We are still not even at version 1.0 and we are trying really hard to implement the features users need.

If you have specific issues regarding EasyWeb please let us know. Something you may think may take a year or 2 may already be doable or can be implemented much quicker than you think

It is very important that all users leave specific feedback about what they are looking for. Please do not take this the wrong way but making assumptions about our development time without having inside knowledge of our resources and time will almost always be incorrect.
