Site URL needs index.html to work

This could be my lack of knowledge, but here goes...

My website URL is www.wellnl.com

When I was using iweb, you could type in wellnl.com and that would take me directly to the home page...

I have just uploaded my easyweb site to my live server location. Typing in wellnl.com still remembers the old iweb home page name... If I type in www.wellnl.com/index.html I get my easyweb site up and running..

Any advice on what I need to do to be able to make typing www.wellnl.com come up with the easyweb index.html straight away?

I cleared out the folders on the server first containing the iweb website... Maybe I am missing something in the root?

Thanks

Simon

If you have access to your server via ftp make sure you delete all files before uploading your site.

Though, any of the two urls show the same picture for me:

The rest of the page is plain white.

Thanks Darian for looking...

I zapped the directory a couple of times then resaved, republished it via dummy and it seems fine now. I had used iweb seo from rage but need to test it again as it seemd to cause problems.

But all good. I'm happy!
